A little character, in the shape itself. Each step is a pale pine plate cut in a rounded cat head silhouette with two pointed ears, carrying a small flat pale pine step in front of it. Mount the two staggered and a cat has a climb rather than a single perch. The silhouette is simple enough that from across the room it still reads as calm modern timber.

Specifications

Fitting and weight guidance
- In the box: the piece, mounting screws and a fitting diagram. Wall plugs for your wall type are not included.
- Solid walls (brick or block): drill 6mm, fit standard wall plugs, drive the included screws through every hole in the wall plate.
- Plasterboard: screw into a timber stud wherever you can (use a stud finder). Where there is no stud behind the fixing, use heavy-duty plasterboard anchors rated to 15kg or more per fixing, such as metal self-drill or toggle anchors.
- Weight: designed for adult domestic cats, typically 3 to 6kg. For cats over 7kg, or for any piece a cat will land on from a jump, fix into a stud or masonry rather than plasterboard alone.
- Use a spirit level, and check every fixing is tight before the first climb.
Will it fit?
- Your wall: check the width along the wall and how far the piece sticks out (under Specifications) against the clear space you have.
- Spacing: about 30cm between steps suits most adult cats; go closer for kittens and older cats.
- Wall type: 6mm plugs for brick or block, a stud or heavy-duty anchors for plasterboard.
- Your cat: designed for adult cats of 3 to 6kg; over 7kg, fix into a stud or masonry.

Two steps, one climb
Mounted staggered, the pair takes a cat up in two easy moves onto the small flat steps that sit in front of each plate. Neither step is a resting spot, both are part of the route.
Character without the clutter
The cat head shape is the one piece of play in the Castle Catalogue wall range, and it is cut cleanly enough in pale pine to stay quiet on a modern wall.
Cut from pale pine
Each backing plate is a solid pale pine silhouette, rounded through the head with two pointed ears. The step in front of it is flat pale pine in the same tone, so the pair matches exactly.

Made to live with, not just look at.
Every piece in the Castle Catalogue range is chosen for how it behaves in a real room. Honest materials, quiet colour and shapes that still work when the seasons change.
We keep the range tight on purpose, so you are choosing between a few good options rather than scrolling through thousands.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many steps are included?
Two, sold as a set. Mounted staggered they give a cat a proper route up the wall instead of one isolated perch.
What is it made from?
Pale pine throughout. The cat head plate and the small flat step in front of it are cut from the same pale timber.
How does it fix to the wall, and what weight will it take?
It mounts to the wall with the included screws through the holes in the wall plate. Into brick or block, use standard wall plugs. Into plasterboard, screw into a stud where you can, or use heavy-duty plasterboard anchors rated to 15kg or more. It is designed for adult cats of around 3 to 6kg; for a heavier cat, fix into a stud or masonry.
How far apart should they go?
Stagger them one above the other at a spacing your cat can step comfortably. Closer together suits kittens and older cats, further apart suits a confident jumper.
How do I keep them clean?
Wipe the pine with a barely damp cloth and dry it straight away. The cut silhouette has no fabric or crevices to trap fur.
