A proper little house, on the wall. Pale pine walls rise to a gabled pitched roof and both slopes are covered in grey felt fabric, 43.5cm wide, 34.5cm tall and 29.5cm deep. An arched doorway is cut into the front with a small square four pane window cut out beside it, so a cat can be enclosed and private and still watch the room. A flat pale pine landing ledge projects at the base for the step in and the step out.

Fitting and weight guidance
- In the box: the piece, mounting screws and a fitting diagram. Wall plugs for your wall type are not included.
- Solid walls (brick or block): drill 6mm, fit standard wall plugs, drive the included screws through every hole in the wall plate.
- Plasterboard: screw into a timber stud wherever you can (use a stud finder). Where there is no stud behind the fixing, use heavy-duty plasterboard anchors rated to 15kg or more per fixing, such as metal self-drill or toggle anchors.
- Weight: designed for adult domestic cats, typically 3 to 6kg. For cats over 7kg, or for any piece a cat will land on from a jump, fix into a stud or masonry rather than plasterboard alone.
- Use a spirit level, and check every fixing is tight before the first climb.
Will it fit?
- Your wall: check the width along the wall and how far the piece sticks out (under Specifications) against the clear space you have.
- Spacing: about 30cm between steps suits most adult cats; go closer for kittens and older cats.
- Wall type: 6mm plugs for brick or block, a stud or heavy-duty anchors for plasterboard.
- Your cat: designed for adult cats of 3 to 6kg; over 7kg, fix into a stud or masonry.

Inside, out of the room
A cat steps up onto the ledge, through the arched door, and is properly enclosed on all sides. The little four pane window keeps the room in view without being in it.
The most characterful piece on the wall
A gabled roof in grey felt above pale pine gives a plain wall a small piece of architecture. Castle Catalogue kept the shape simple so it settles into a modern British room rather than fighting it.
Cut, not printed on
The arched doorway and the square four pane window are cut into the pine itself, and the felt is laid across both slopes of the pitched roof. The landing ledge is the same pale timber, projecting flat at the base.

Made to live with, not just look at.
Every piece in the Castle Catalogue range is chosen for how it behaves in a real room. Honest materials, quiet colour and shapes that still work when the seasons change.
We keep the range tight on purpose, so you are choosing between a few good options rather than scrolling through thousands.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are the dimensions?
It measures 43.5cm wide, 34.5cm tall and 29.5cm deep, so there is real enclosed volume inside rather than a shallow box on the wall.
What is it made from?
Pale pine for the house, the landing ledge and the cut arched door, with grey felt fabric covering both slopes of the gabled roof.
How does it fix to the wall, and what weight will it take?
It mounts to the wall with the included screws through the holes in the wall plate. Into brick or block, use standard wall plugs. Into plasterboard, screw into a stud where you can, or use heavy-duty plasterboard anchors rated to 15kg or more. It is designed for adult cats of around 3 to 6kg; for a heavier cat, fix into a stud or masonry.
Will my cat actually go inside?
Cats settle quickly in a covered space at height, and the arched doorway is open rather than a flap, so nothing has to be learned. The landing ledge at the base gives an easy step in.
How do I clean it?
Wipe the pine with a barely damp cloth and dry it. Brush the grey felt roof to lift fur and dust rather than soaking it.
