A landing platform sized for the jump. The board is pale pine, 38cm wide and 25cm deep, flat and rectangular with softly rounded corners, so a cat arrives on a generous target and has room to turn. Beneath it sits a single solid triangular pale pine bracket, 18cm deep, all timber rather than metal. Mounted between other fittings it becomes the step a cat aims for on the way up.

Fitting and weight guidance
- In the box: the piece, mounting screws and a fitting diagram. Wall plugs for your wall type are not included.
- Solid walls (brick or block): drill 6mm, fit standard wall plugs, drive the included screws through every hole in the wall plate.
- Plasterboard: screw into a timber stud wherever you can (use a stud finder). Where there is no stud behind the fixing, use heavy-duty plasterboard anchors rated to 15kg or more per fixing, such as metal self-drill or toggle anchors.
- Weight: designed for adult domestic cats, typically 3 to 6kg. For cats over 7kg, or for any piece a cat will land on from a jump, fix into a stud or masonry rather than plasterboard alone.
- Use a spirit level, and check every fixing is tight before the first climb.
Will it fit?
- Your wall: check the width along the wall and how far the piece sticks out (under Specifications) against the clear space you have.
- Spacing: about 30cm between steps suits most adult cats; go closer for kittens and older cats.
- Wall type: 6mm plugs for brick or block, a stud or heavy-duty anchors for plasterboard.
- Your cat: designed for adult cats of 3 to 6kg; over 7kg, fix into a stud or masonry.

The jump, and the landing
Cats take the gap in one movement, and 38cm of flat board with 25cm of depth gives them somewhere forgiving to land. It is sized as a target between other fittings rather than as a final resting perch.
Quiet timber on a plain wall
Pale pine and one clean triangle read as joinery rather than pet kit. A Castle Catalogue piece that suits a styled British room without announcing itself.
All timber, no metal
The bracket is solid pale pine cut as a triangle 18cm deep, matching the board above it instead of contrasting with it. The corners of the platform are softly rounded, so there is no hard edge where a cat lands.

Made to live with, not just look at.
Every piece in the Castle Catalogue range is chosen for how it behaves in a real room. Honest materials, quiet colour and shapes that still work when the seasons change.
We keep the range tight on purpose, so you are choosing between a few good options rather than scrolling through thousands.
Frequently Asked Questions
How big is the shelf?
The board is 38cm wide and 25cm deep. That is a generous landing area for an adult cat to arrive on and turn around comfortably.
What is it made from?
Pale pine throughout. Both the board and the triangular bracket beneath it are solid timber, so there is no metal bracket showing under the shelf.
How does it fix to the wall, and what weight will it take?
It mounts to the wall with the included screws through the holes in the wall plate. Into brick or block, use standard wall plugs. Into plasterboard, screw into a stud where you can, or use heavy-duty plasterboard anchors rated to 15kg or more. It is designed for adult cats of around 3 to 6kg; for a heavier cat, fix into a stud or masonry.
Where should it sit in a climb?
It works best as a jump target between other wall fittings, giving a cat a wide flat board partway up a route. Set it a comfortable leap from the fitting below.
How do I keep it clean?
Wipe the pine with a barely damp cloth and dry it straight away. The softly rounded corners leave no sharp edges for fur to catch on.
