A complete climbing route in a single fitting. Three oval pale pine platforms descend in steps across 66cm of wall, with a total rise of 33.5cm from the lowest to the highest. Each platform is raised on a short vertical post wrapped in natural sisal rope and fixed back to the wall on a slim pale pine wall plate. The cat gets a staircase, and the posts give it something to scratch on the way up.

Fitting and weight guidance
- In the box: the piece, mounting screws and a fitting diagram. Wall plugs for your wall type are not included.
- Solid walls (brick or block): drill 6mm, fit standard wall plugs, drive the included screws through every hole in the wall plate.
- Plasterboard: screw into a timber stud wherever you can (use a stud finder). Where there is no stud behind the fixing, use heavy-duty plasterboard anchors rated to 15kg or more per fixing, such as metal self-drill or toggle anchors.
- Weight: designed for adult domestic cats, typically 3 to 6kg. For cats over 7kg, or for any piece a cat will land on from a jump, fix into a stud or masonry rather than plasterboard alone.
- Use a spirit level, and check every fixing is tight before the first climb.
Will it fit?
- Your wall: check the width along the wall and how far the piece sticks out (under Specifications) against the clear space you have.
- Spacing: about 30cm between steps suits most adult cats; go closer for kittens and older cats.
- Wall type: 6mm plugs for brick or block, a stud or heavy-duty anchors for plasterboard.
- Your cat: designed for adult cats of 3 to 6kg; over 7kg, fix into a stud or masonry.

Stairs a cat can read
Three oval platforms spread across 66cm with a 33.5cm rise give a clear, gradual route up the wall. A heavier or older cat can take it one step at a time rather than in one jump.
A run that draws the eye up
Staggered oval steps in pale pine with natural sisal posts look deliberate on a plain wall, a Castle Catalogue detail rather than a row of brackets.
Sisal on every step
Each oval platform is raised on a short post wrapped in natural sisal rope, so every step doubles as a scratching surface. A slim pale pine wall plate sits behind each one.

Made to live with, not just look at.
Every piece in the Castle Catalogue range is chosen for how it behaves in a real room. Honest materials, quiet colour and shapes that still work when the seasons change.
We keep the range tight on purpose, so you are choosing between a few good options rather than scrolling through thousands.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much wall does it need?
66cm of total run across the wall and 33.5cm of total rise from the lowest step to the highest. The three steps stagger across that span.
What are the steps made from?
Pale pine for the three oval platforms and the slim wall plates, with natural sisal rope wrapped around the short post under each step.
How does it fix to the wall, and what weight will it take?
It mounts to the wall with the included screws through the holes in the wall plate. Into brick or block, use standard wall plugs. Into plasterboard, screw into a stud where you can, or use heavy-duty plasterboard anchors rated to 15kg or more. It is designed for adult cats of around 3 to 6kg; for a heavier cat, fix into a stud or masonry.
Can it be used as a scratching post?
Yes. The vertical post under each platform is wrapped in natural sisal rope, so your cat can scratch at any of the three steps as it climbs.
How do I look after it?
Wipe the pine platforms with a barely damp cloth, and vacuum loose fibres from the sisal posts now and then. Loose strands are a normal sign of use.
