Every room has a dead corner, and this turns one into a lookout. The platform is pale pine in a quarter circle, 31.5cm along each wall edge, so it fills the corner without pushing far into the room. Two upright pale pine wall plates 15.5cm tall hold it at the back corner. A row of short turned pine dowel spindles, 9.7cm tall, runs along the curved front edge as a low railing.

Fitting and weight guidance
- In the box: the piece, mounting screws and a fitting diagram. Wall plugs for your wall type are not included.
- Solid walls (brick or block): drill 6mm, fit standard wall plugs, drive the included screws through every hole in the wall plate.
- Plasterboard: screw into a timber stud wherever you can (use a stud finder). Where there is no stud behind the fixing, use heavy-duty plasterboard anchors rated to 15kg or more per fixing, such as metal self-drill or toggle anchors.
- Weight: designed for adult domestic cats, typically 3 to 6kg. For cats over 7kg, or for any piece a cat will land on from a jump, fix into a stud or masonry rather than plasterboard alone.
- Use a spirit level, and check every fixing is tight before the first climb.
Will it fit?
- Your wall: check the width along the wall and how far the piece sticks out (under Specifications) against the clear space you have.
- Spacing: about 30cm between steps suits most adult cats; go closer for kittens and older cats.
- Wall type: 6mm plugs for brick or block, a stud or heavy-duty anchors for plasterboard.
- Your cat: designed for adult cats of 3 to 6kg; over 7kg, fix into a stud or masonry.

The corner becomes the best seat
Cats want a back to the wall and a view of the door. Tucked into a corner with a 9.7cm dowel rail to lean against, this shelf gives them both at once.
Uses the space nothing else wants
Corners are where furniture stops and clutter starts. A quarter circle in pale pine fills that gap neatly, which is the sort of problem Castle Catalogue likes solving.
Turned spindles, not a plain board
The railing is made from short turned pine dowels, spaced so a cat can look through it rather than only over it. Two upright pine plates 15.5cm tall carry the platform at the back corner.

Made to live with, not just look at.
Every piece in the Castle Catalogue range is chosen for how it behaves in a real room. Honest materials, quiet colour and shapes that still work when the seasons change.
We keep the range tight on purpose, so you are choosing between a few good options rather than scrolling through thousands.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much space does it take up?
It runs 31.5cm along each of the two walls that meet in the corner, with a curved front edge. The quarter circle shape keeps it from projecting far into the room.
What is it made from?
Pale pine throughout, including the platform, the two 15.5cm upright wall plates and the turned dowel spindles along the front edge.
How does it fix to the wall, and what weight will it take?
It mounts to the wall with the included screws through the holes in the wall plate. Into brick or block, use standard wall plugs. Into plasterboard, screw into a stud where you can, or use heavy-duty plasterboard anchors rated to 15kg or more. It is designed for adult cats of around 3 to 6kg; for a heavier cat, fix into a stud or masonry.
What is the railing for?
The spindles stand 9.7cm tall, low enough to see over and open enough to look through. They also give a settled cat something to lean against.
How do I keep it clean?
Wipe the pine with a barely damp cloth and dry it off. Run the cloth between the dowels now and then to keep the railing clear of hair.
