The quietest way to give a cat a bed up off the floor. A cream canvas sling, 53cm wide and 37cm deep, hangs between two round pale pine dowel rails fixed to the wall. The canvas is wrapped around each dowel at the ends, so there is nothing to look at but cloth and timber. It is the plainest, most restrained hammock in the range, and the sling takes the shape of the cat lying in it.

Fitting and weight guidance
- In the box: the piece, mounting screws and a fitting diagram. Wall plugs for your wall type are not included.
- Solid walls (brick or block): drill 6mm, fit standard wall plugs, drive the included screws through every hole in the wall plate.
- Plasterboard: screw into a timber stud wherever you can (use a stud finder). Where there is no stud behind the fixing, use heavy-duty plasterboard anchors rated to 15kg or more per fixing, such as metal self-drill or toggle anchors.
- Weight: designed for adult domestic cats, typically 3 to 6kg. For cats over 7kg, or for any piece a cat will land on from a jump, fix into a stud or masonry rather than plasterboard alone.
- Use a spirit level, and check every fixing is tight before the first climb.
Will it fit?
- Your wall: check the width along the wall and how far the piece sticks out (under Specifications) against the clear space you have.
- Spacing: about 30cm between steps suits most adult cats; go closer for kittens and older cats.
- Wall type: 6mm plugs for brick or block, a stud or heavy-duty anchors for plasterboard.
- Your cat: designed for adult cats of 3 to 6kg; over 7kg, fix into a stud or masonry.

A bed that moulds to them
A cat steps in and the canvas gives, holding them along their whole length. At 53cm wide and 37cm deep there is room to curl up tight or stretch right out.
Cloth and timber, nothing else
Cream canvas against pale pine is about as quiet as wall mounted cat furniture gets. This is the most restrained hammock Castle Catalogue makes, so it sits on a wall without taking the room over.
Wrapped, not clipped
The canvas is wrapped around each round pine dowel at the ends, so the sling hangs straight off the rails. Two dowels and one piece of cloth, with nothing in the way of the cat.

Made to live with, not just look at.
Every piece in the Castle Catalogue range is chosen for how it behaves in a real room. Honest materials, quiet colour and shapes that still work when the seasons change.
We keep the range tight on purpose, so you are choosing between a few good options rather than scrolling through thousands.
Frequently Asked Questions
How big is the hammock?
The sling is 53cm wide and 37cm deep, enough for an adult cat to curl up or lie out along it. Because it is canvas it takes their shape rather than forcing a position.
What is it made from?
A cream canvas sling held between two round rails in pale pine. The canvas is wrapped around each dowel at the ends, so the cloth and the timber are the whole design.
How does it fix to the wall, and what weight will it take?
It mounts to the wall with the included screws through the holes in the wall plate. Into brick or block, use standard wall plugs. Into plasterboard, screw into a stud where you can, or use heavy-duty plasterboard anchors rated to 15kg or more. It is designed for adult cats of around 3 to 6kg; for a heavier cat, fix into a stud or masonry.
Will my cat settle in a hammock?
Most cats take to a soft sling quickly, because it holds them on all sides and keeps them above the floor. Fitting it where your cat already naps helps it get used from the first day.
How do I keep the canvas clean?
Brush the canvas down regularly to lift loose hair, and spot clean any marks with a damp cloth and a mild detergent. Let it dry fully before your cat uses it again.
